Healing the Unseen: How Your Past Shapes Your Reality

We experience the world according to what we see, what we hear, and what we believe — this is our personal perception and our resonance. This is why all four children will tell you a different story of what it was like growing up in the exact same household.

Resonance is the vibrational field that we operate on, or our frequency. Science has shown that like attracts like from a vibrational standpoint. Consider the analogy of musical instruments. If you have two guitars in the same room, you can tune one guitar string to match another by striking the chord on the first guitar. The vibration of the plucked string causes the corresponding string on the second guitar to vibrate sympathetically, even though it hasn’t been touched. This is known as sympathetic resonance.

Similarly, our thoughts and emotions emit vibrations that attract corresponding experiences into our lives. Emotions have a frequency that we generate in our body that has been scientifically measured. For example, shame operates at 20 Hz, and love operates at 500 Hz on the frequency scale.

What we see and hear are determined by the experiences we had in utero and in early childhood, especially.

Our body is our unconscious mind. It stores our emotions from past events. The number one job of the unconscious mind is survival. Those stored emotions are like a regulator for current events, always on the lookout for danger.

If we experienced high-vibrational emotions—loving, bonding situations—we will hear and see things from that perspective and will attract more of those vibrations. If we experienced low-vibrational emotions—anger, abuse, violence, etc.—our sympathetic nervous system will be activated to always be on the lookout for bad things happening.

When we are in a nervous system response and have a resonance for danger, we will attract the same vibration.

When we see and hear the same things over and over again, we start to form a perception of what the world is like, what life is like, what people are like. This perception becomes reinforced by our resonance, and then our thoughts form a belief.

The Science Behind Our Perceptions

Our thoughts and beliefs are deeply connected to our emotional state, and these emotions are stored in our bodies. When we experience non-coherence, our brain creates neural pathways that reinforce the survival mechanisms we've adopted. This is why we often find ourselves stuck in repetitive patterns and why it feels like our past is dictating our present. Or why we cannot figure out why the same patterns keep repeating—our past is unconsciously dictating our present, and we do not realize it.

What area of your life feels like past experiences could be affecting your experience of the world today?

Questions for Self-Reflection

To help you identify areas where past experiences might be affecting your current perception of the world, consider these questions:

  • Was your father your first bully?

  • Did your mother not protect you from him?

  • Did you grow up in an alcoholic household where chaos and anger were the norm?

  • Were you taught to believe that “money doesn’t grow on trees”?

  • Were you led to think that your worth is based on what you produce—such as the grades you received, the medals you won, or the next job promotion?

  • Did your best girlfriend betray you by sleeping with your boyfriend?

  • Were you often told that the world is a dangerous place and you must always be on guard?

  • Did you feel that no matter how hard you tried, you were never truly heard or understood by those around you?

If past events have led us to form the belief that:

🧔 All men are womanizers

🛑 Life is unsafe

💴 Money is hard to make

🤦‍♀️ Women are mean

🙉 No one ever listens to me

Then we will always unconsciously “find” similar experiential vibrations to affirm our story that those perceptions and beliefs are true. In other words, we create our reality.

By recognizing and addressing these deep-seated beliefs, you can begin the process of clearing negative emotions and reframing your resonance for a more positive and fulfilling life.

Clearing Past Emotions and Rewriting Your Story

We can change our reality by changing our thoughts and emotions.

To experience a better future, the trick here is to ensure the resonance in our body is clear of past stored negative emotions. Clearing those emotions will free our body from living in the past and allow us to create a brighter future. It will free our body to see and hear things from a different and fresh perspective, a perspective based on our current reality versus our past memories.

Reframing Your Resonance for a Positive Future

By actively working to clear negative emotions and replace them with positive beliefs, you can reframe the resonance of the old stories so today you think new thoughts, feel new emotions, and in turn, experience new beliefs—beliefs that you consciously chose rather than unconsciously integrated due to childhood experiences.

The above beliefs could be reframed like this:

💙 Men are loving protectors

❤️ Life is safe and enjoyable

💚 Money isn’t something I make, it’s something I generate

💖 Women are supportive and kind

💜 I am heard and respected

Conclusion

By acknowledging and addressing these areas, you can start to clear the old emotional residue and step into a new, vibrant reality. Embrace the possibility that you can rewrite your story and create a life that resonates with joy, abundance, and love.

Imagine waking up each day with a sense of peace and purpose, knowing that you are no longer bound by the chains of your past. Picture yourself confidently navigating through life, attracting positive experiences and relationships that uplift and support you. This transformation is not just a dream; it is entirely within your reach.

Remember, every small step you take towards healing and self-discovery is a powerful act of self-love. As you release the negative emotions and limiting beliefs that have held you back, you make room for new opportunities and growth. The journey may not always be easy, but it is undoubtedly worth it.

Think of your life as a canvas. By clearing away the old, outdated images, you are free to paint a new masterpiece—one filled with vibrant colors, hope, and endless possibilities. Your past does not define you; it is merely a part of your story. You have the power to change the narrative and create a future that aligns with your deepest desires.

As Joe Dispenza often says, "The best way to predict your future is to create it." Take this to heart and embark on the transformative journey of healing and self-empowerment. You are capable of incredible things, and your potential is limitless. Trust in the process, believe in yourself, and watch as your life transforms in beautiful and unexpected ways.

I’m rooting for you and I’m always here to support you! Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Namaste,

Heather
